Question:

Why is it not possible to open an Allplan Share project on another computer even though it is no longer open on any Allplan computer with the same Bim Plus account?

When opening the project the following dialog appears, for example:

Answer:

Rename the cache folder of the corresponding Allplan Share project on the computer to which the message concerning the still open project refers.
You can select the project's Cache folder in Windows Explorer, which you can access in Allplan under :
New project, open -> Share ->Login -> log in to Allplan Share. In the dialog that appears, select the Allplan Share project in question and then right-click the project path displayed in the lower left-hand corner of the dialog. Select "Open in Explorer" in the context menu that is now visible. The Explorer is started with the corresponding project data.
Go back one step in the address line in the Explorer. The Cache folder is now highlighted blue in the Explorer and can be renamed
Perform the corresponding action on the computer too on which the Allplan Share project is to be used.
The project should then be available again.

Hint:

Allplan Share checks and notes who is accessing the Allplan Share project on which computer in the local cache and in the project management of the corresponding Allplan Share project and blocks access by employees already working on one computer if they access the project on a second computer in Allplan.
A note is made in the local cache of the project and in the Allplan Share Project Management of the project by creating a file with the name "Project name+computer name.inuse".
This is usually removed at all points after leaving the project. In this case, the corresponding file in the cache was not deleted, but was not available in Allplan Share Project Management.
