Allplan logging (trace) -> write to "Allplan.out" file
Question:
How can I start Allplan in logging mode?
Answer:
In order to analyze problems, you can run Allplan in logging mode. Allplan then logs what it is doing.
In general, you can activate this mode by generating a support request with Hotinfo and selecting the following option:
02. Inquiry with Allplan logging
However, this may not be possible in rare cases. If this is so, you can run Allplan in logging mode without generating a Hotinfo support request.
Exit Allplan and open the Services application.
Set the following:
Services application -> Service -> Allplan logging (trace) -> Write to "Allplan.out" file(up to version 2012: Write to "stderr.out")
Now the following log files are created whenever you start Allplan:
Allplan.out (up to version 2012: "stderr.out"), Adm_info.outand ToolBox.out (the last two files are only created under certain circumstances; so they do not necessarily have to exist).
The files are in the local Allplan folder.
The quickest way to this folder:
Services application -> Service -> Windows Explorer -> My own temporary CAD data (TMP)
(Up to Allplan 2012: Services application -> Service -> Windows Explorer (program folder))
Send these files to Technical Support along with a Hotinfo support request (question 01: general inquiry), if necessary.
Note:
We recommend that you turn Allplan logging off again.
To do this, exit Allplan and open the Services application.
Set the following:
Services application -> Service -> Allplan logging (trace) ->Turn off
