How to copy fastly a lot of floors? are there any batch process?

Schlagworte:

Hi,

We are working in a project with several floors. We know four methods of work with a build with several floors with the same internal distribution (thirty floors, for example):

- Copy floor to floor using the tool "Copy, Move elements between documents" (dokumentübergreifend kopieren). It's a very slow method
- Copy floor to floor using the tool "Copy to" (kopieren nach) from Project Pilot (very slow method)
- Copy floor to floor using copy and paste from floor to floor (very slow method)
- Inserting Xref (slow method)

Are there any batch process to do several identical floors?

Thanks!

If you want to copy whole Floors (complete Teilbilder): Use the Project Pilot !

Klaus

Hi Klaus,

The method to copy floors in "Project Pilot" is very slow, because it's only possible copy only one file to file. It's impossible to do a batch copy process: copy one floor over several files in only one step. Imagine in a building with a lot of floors, this method it's very slow.

Thanks for the answer!

if you use building structure you are able to copy teilbilder.
it's the easiest way to copy.

Namenlos gezeichnet in vollem Bewusstsein - ignorant, in eigen Augen vermutlich höflich, dennoch unhöflichst, unfreundlichst wer einen/viele vermutete - sich von alters erschließende Namen nennt.

Hi Markus,

I'm agree with you, but this method is still slow with a building with a lot of floors (like the building of the attached image).

Curious how Allplan doesn't have any tool to do it fastly.

Thanks!

O.K. you want to copy one floor to many floors.
I thought you wanted to copy many floors to many floors (like for a variant.

Only another Workaround with the ProjectPilot:

Copy 110 to 120
Then copy 110 to 122 AND 120 to 124 in the same step
Now you have 4 floors)
Then copy 110 to 126, 120 to 128, 122 to 130 and 124 to 132
(now you have 8 floors)
then 16 and then all

It would be easier if the floor P1 has the number 118 instead of 100 because the difference
between every floor is 2 and you could use "Analog Quelle" (analog source ?).

Another idea for Ctrl-C / Ctrl-V

Put a text like P1, P2 etc. on every floor (Teilbild) at a different Position.
Now activate all floors together.
Switch between the floors with "Teilbildstatus ändern" (Shortcut ?). So you haven't to open the Teilbildliste.

(Sorry for my bad (D)english )

But I agree with you, a batch-copy would be helpful. We also have projects with many floors.

Klaus

Nice, It's a good trick, Klaus!

Thanks a lot for the answer, and answer it in english ;-D
I know that I will have to learn german... ;-P

Best regards,
