Hi Erik,
as you already figured out it is not enough only to move or copy the projectfolder *.prj from one computer to another.
If you like to transfer the data that way you secondary should run Nemetschek Services 2009 and use a Hotline Tool from the menu Services.
The name of the tool is reorg: Re-organize the project manager.
The Option you have to select: Restore project management file.
Instead of this method I usually would suggest to do the process in a different way. Here a short description of the alternative:
To backup a project:
#1 Run Nemetschek Services 2009
#2 Select a Backup path from the menu Configuration
#3 From the menu DataBackup select Create > Entire folders > Projects
#4 Select the project for the backup
To restore a project:
#1 Run Nemetschek Services 2009
#2 Select a Backup path from the menu Configuration
#3 From the menu DataBackup select Import > Projects
#5 Select the project for the import
#6 Follow the import dialoges

Hello!
I tried to imprort one of my old projects (made with AP09) with service 2011. I get the message that the folder does not contain any appropriate backups! I tried the tool "convert data to current version", but nothing changed.
Thanks!

Hi Erik,
I think the problem is that you didn´t set the right Backup path in the Nemetschek Services 2011 before you tried to import the project into the version 2011.
Maybe this short discription will help:
#1 Look for the folder where you backuped the projects from version 2009
#2 Run Nemetschek Services 2011
#3 Select as a Backup path from the menu Configuration the folder with the version 2009 project backups
#4 From the menu DataBackup select Import > Projects
#5 Select the project for the import
#6 Follow the import dialoges
