[Frage] Left / Right mouse button to rotate model in animation screen

In allplan 2024 you could rotate the model in an animation window using the left mouse button. In Allplan 2025 this is changed to the right mouse button.

I use a kensington trackball and use my little finger to click the right button. This works fine for clicking but now allplan forces me to hold down the right mouse button with my little finger wich is very awkward to do.

I can't find anything in the settings to change this back to preferred behaviour.

In Allplan 2025, the default behavior for rotating the model in the animation window has indeed changed to using the right mouse button. Unfortunately, there isn’t a direct setting in Allplan to revert this behavior back to using the left mouse button. However, you can try a workaround by customizing your mouse or trackball settings through your operating system or using third-party software to remap the mouse buttons.

Here are a few suggestions:

Kensington Trackball Software:
If you are using a Kensington trackball, check if the KensingtonWorks software allows you to remap the mouse buttons. You might be able to swap the functions of the left and right buttons specifically for Allplan.

Third-Party Software:
Consider using third-party software like X-Mouse Button Control (for Windows) or Karabiner-Elements (for macOS) to remap your mouse buttons. These tools can help you customize button functions on a per-application basis.

Operating System Settings:
Check your operating system’s mouse settings to see if there are any options for customizing button functions. While this might not offer per-application customization, it could be a temporary solution.
