Thank you again for your feedback regarding the conversion of SmartParts to OpeningParts.
Even if our first decision was to not implement such tool, we understand the importance of this feature for many of you, and we appreciate your input.
After another careful consideration, we are excited to announce that we have listened to your feedback and have successfully implemented an Automatic conversion tool for transforming SmartParts into OpeningParts.
This new feature is now available for our VIP customers starting from Allplan 2026-WIP-3.
Please: "Exercise caution when using this feature, as we cannot ensure complete conversion integrity. Particularly for custom SmartPart doors/windows, the conversion may not perfectly replicate the original. Any possible geometrical defects and/or inconsistencies should not be considered as bugs."

Hi Adam,
it would be great if it were possible to place multiple elements one after another, just like with the SmartParts. There, it was possible to confirm with a right-click and then place the next door or window. The current method is unfortunately more cumbersome and requires more clicks per window.

2. Das frei abgesetzte SmartPart in die Fassade übernehmen, dabei wird das SmartPart in ein OpeningPart konvertiert
3. Das Fenster in der Fassade in ein Feld "verlegen", d.h, dort erzeugen lassen
4. Mit Doppelklick rechts oder Pipette kann man mit dem Fenster aus der Fassade ein Fenster als OpeningPart irgendwo anders einsetzen.
Die Anfrage von Anwendern, ob es nicht einen direkteren Weg geben sollte, hat Allplan (bisher jedenfalls) verneint!

bei funktioniert das aber in Allplan 2025 nicht. Wenn ich das SMT rauskopiere und wieder einsetze, dann ist es immer noch ein SMT. Es ist nicht konvertiert worden.
Wahrscheinlich mache ich irgendetwas falsch. Evtl. würde ein kurzes Filmchen von dir Licht ins Dunkle bringen.

OK, wer lesen kann ist klar im Vorteil.
Man muss also wirklich den Umweg über eine Fassade gehen und da dann über Part-Übernahme ein bestehendes SMT als neues Flächen-Objekt integrieren. Dann ist es in der Fassade plötzlich ein Opening-Part und kann dann aus der Fassade heraus in eine normale Fensteröffnung in einer Architektur-Wand übernommen werden.
Fazit: Ich freue mich sehr über eine neue Funktion zur Wandlung von SMT aus Altprojekten in Opening-Parts!!!

We’ve heard your request!
Starting with Allplan 2026-WIP-5, you’ll be able to insert multiple windows or doors one after the other.
Just press the ESC key after placing an opening element-this won’t exit the function but will let you insert another window or door.
We hope this small improvement helps boost our customers’ productivity a little more.

Nachdem ich bereits fast alle Fenster- und Tür-Smartparts in unseren Vorlagen/Assistenten per Hand erneuert habe, las ich mit Freude, dass bereits mit 2025-1 die Funktion "SmartPart in OpeningPart umwandeln" integriert wurde. Vielen Dank dafür...
...aaaaaber ich musste leider feststellen, dass die Funktion nur meine Türen-SmartParts wandeln konnte. Das Wandeln von Fenstern hat bei mir nicht geklappt. Ist das nur bei mir so oder kann das jemand bestätigen?

Bei mir hat die Funktion leider keinerlei Auswirkung - weder bei Tür-SmartParts noch bei Fenster-SmartParts
Auch in der aktuellen WIP 26 nicht...

sehr gern stelle ich die Beispieldaten zur Verfügung. Die Datei enthält Türen und Fenster. Die Türen werden problemlos gewandelt. Das wandeln der Fenster funktioniert leider.
I am happy to provide the sample data. The file contains doors and windows. The doors are converted without any issues. Unfortunately, the conversion of the windows does not work.
