Dear Hillcow,

This is an interesting question.

In fact, it depend in which version you're working. If you use latest version since 2015-2016 or 2017, than it's really easy.

New library: (2015 and after)
Each symbol is a separate file and you can easily explore the folder and move/copy/delete file as you want.
You can click right "office" in the library palette.

Old library: (before 2015)
If you worked with an older version like that, it's a bit more complex. The standard folder are stored on the folder "SYM" in the STD folder.
And than all other subfolder from the 'Office' are special file named zsy.??? directly on the STD folder.

To manage them, you can copy all file to a private project and than delete and move file by using the 'project Pilot'/library.

But if first, you delete the symbol directory in the folder, you have less folder displayed.

HINT: the best should be to update your version :-).

Good Use!

Dear Judy,

Thanks for your explanation, it did work.
I have made a zip file of the SYM folder en the ZSY.??? files

I am working with Allplan 2012 Precast.

Updating to a newer version is not my decision, that's up to my superiors.
But i am still following the improvements in Allplan 2015, 2016 and 2017. just to stay up to date and to advise my superiors.

again thanks for your advise.

Greetz,
