Room (raum) problem in vertical surfaces

Schlagworte:
  • 2014

Hi,

We found a possible issue: The command "Vertical Surface" (Seitenfläche) , and the vertical surface of the command "Room" (raum), doesn't show correctly in animation when they has more than 2 vertical finishes.

See attached image.

Thanks a lot!

Hello,

maybe it helps, if you assign different thicknesses for each surface.
The smallest one for the all over wall paint....
(The artifacts comes from rounding error in OpenGL).

Regards

Jörg

Hi Jörg, and thanks to answer fastly! :-D

Well, in the attached image of the first post, we assigned different thicknesses for each surface, the smallest finish is for the all over wall ;-D (see the attached image of this post, it's a zoom of the image of the first post).

The problem doesn't exist when we work with two vertical finishes, but when we work with more than 2 vertical finishes, the animation window doesn't show it correctly.

Best regards,

Another test,

In this post, we attach 2 images:

01 Test 3 finishes: the "finish 1" has the smallest thickness, for the all over wall paint. The thickness of the three vertical finishes has high values, to try to avoid any rounding error in OpenGL. But the artifacts appear in animation window.

02 Test 2 finishes: the "finish 1" has the smallest thickness, for the all over wall paint. The thickness of the two vertical finishes has high values, to try to avoid any rounding error in OpenGL. In this second case, with only two vetical finishes, the animation window show it correctly.

Did you solve the problem?

Hi mat_pav,

Yes, we found a trick. For rooms with more than 2 lateral finishes, the height of the thinnest finish has to be the total height of the room. The other finishes can have any other height configuration.

Best regards!
