[Frage] printout not the same as preview

Hi,

Sometimes when I print out a layout/PDF a lot of element won't print that are shown in the preview. (see image) As you can see, whenever there's a filling from my floor, a lot of dimensions, labels, texts,... won't print.
After some searching I've noticed that the sections wich are a problem have switched from hidden to hidden + wire, this might be the problem. Why does this happen? and how do I change it back? redoing the section is not really an option because there's lot of labels attatched to the section.

PS: a lines merge option (as in AutoCAD) would be very helpful to avoid stuff not showing up in a drawing

Hello Wouter_W,

I'm not sure what was the change.

Anyway, about the display when you go to the layout editor, you have few mode available.

Per default you are in working mode but you want you can change to print mode. And then, you will always see the exact display of your print.

It's just an help to be sure that all will be printed as you want.

So by working, if you see a difference, than can check your data.

To set this mode you have to move your mousse on the bottom, right of the screen, than you can set the display mode.

to change the display setting, you normally just have to double click on the view, and then, you can set again the view type to Wire.

Hi Judy, thanks for the answer.

changing the view to printmode doesn't work. lines from labels/2d-hatches still wont plot whenever there's a filling in the section (generated from the colour of a 3D object, usually a floor). Sometimes I can move the objects to the front but that doesn't work most of the time.

Tried that, but it goes straight back to H+D when I exit the dialog. But I've just found a section thats still on hidden and that has the same problem, so I don't know if the section switching to H+D is the problem.

Here's a nid-file so you can have a look.

Dear Wouter_W,

I had a look to your data and it looks like you create an associative cutting view on the floor.

You have set a definition of the object to get the textures or the color of the element. That's why there is a grey color in background.

In reality, the label style and the dimension line exit on your plan but they are under the fills of the floor.

If you change the order of the fills to background, than you can display it.

Or you can also deseable the grey color in background than it will works too.

I cannot change the drawing order of fillings created in sections, Support told me this has been an isseu for quite a while and they are waiting for it to get fixed. I can temporarily fix it by copying my window in the layout and disabling hatches on the top window but this makes my project even slower than it was.

A lines merge option would be really, really helpfull. I've wasted hours of time and a lot of paper because the plot is not the same as what I can see on my screen and some objects aren't showing on my plot/PDF.
