Hi!
I need to define a column-beam interaction where if a beam is intersected by a column the part of the beam which is inside(goes through) the column is not shown(sort of a computational cut through the beam).I know that these two elements make parts of different component groups so I can't solve this problem by setting different element priorities.
Thank you for your help!

Column-Beam interaction [Gelöst]

For international users, "Lumina stalpilor" means the distance between the outer surfaces of two close columns, it is the distance the distance between two consescutive axes - half the width of both columns.
Hello!
The program doesn't take in account the column beam interaction so by default if you define the beams by using the construction grid you will double the quantities and will have those excess lines inside the column.
If you check AutoJoin when drawing a beam it will subtract the beam quantity from the column, however you will still have those unwanted lines.
Our recommendation is to define the beam at the outer face of the column ("lumina stalpilor" - in romanian) thus you will have no problems with quantities or extra lines.
Hope you find this useful.

Thank you for the answer. I kind of thought about this.. I only asked because I wanted to make sure there isn't any other more "professional" solution..
