To protect customers from loosing Data, there is no automatic way. (f.e. if teamowner is an employee and by "any reason" so angry about company, that he deletes the team ..

and as Restore OF ONE TEAM is MANUAL WORK ON OUR SIDE, the deltion of theam has to be requested via support :

First, Login as Team Owner to Portal.bimplus.net -> select the team and remname it to

"Please do not use - will be deleted".

Then send an email to support.de (please no spam) @ (please no spam) allplan.com with the following information:

Please delete the team of the team owner "teamowner@email.xx" (enter here the email address you use as team owner).
I understand that this will also delete all projects created in the team and data stored with it. Restoration of the data is only possible within 30 days thereafter. This Teamowner can not create a new Bimplus Team in the future.

Notice:

There must not be any paid subscriptions (Share, Bimplus Pro, etc.) in the team to be deleted.
Please check this beforehand in Bimplus via the menu item "Team members".

I got a question that is kind of related to this topic. I am in teams of people who aren't working at the (internal and external) company anymore so they can't delete me from there team anymore and my overview gets polluted by these teams in time. There is also no 'delete me from team' button somewhere, as far as I know. Does is also work the same then that I can send an email to the e-mailadres you mentioned to get me deleted from these teams?

at the moment only a team Admin of a team can do this

(and as this is a little bit more complicated from GDPR point to login as a differen user, there is no process setup at the moment)
so in your request to support please list the name of team Owner (if you now it ) and Team Name you want get rid of.

i checked your accoutn an could see 7 teams.
One ist your own, an empty one,
at least two invitations to teams from allplan employees (this i can handle, as i know, if they still work for allplan or scia etc)
any other team, that is organized by an employee of a customer, support has to clarify first if team is still needed and if it may be deleted also Or help customer to chenge the email Address of the team Owner. (here support has a process)

then the problem can be solved.
but you are right : Leave Team Button (with additional needed confirmations to confirm you are loosing all access to the data, assigned tasks are getting orphans, you may loose a license from team etc)

BTW:
unused teams are deleted after one year.
if teamOwner does not log in for more than 265 days and no other Teammember works with that team be checking proects or uploading data, Team Onwer and admins are informed about that the team deletion process is starting.

a second warning via Email will follow 14 days later.
and 2 days before final deletion al last notification

a Login -> select Team an list Projects is enough to stop the deletion process.

BUT:

after 30 Days (14 + 14 +2 Days) the teamdata is moved to Archive for another 30 days where we can restore the teamdata from backup.
during this archive Phase you cannot access anymore. So in this last phase you need to contact support

Thanks for the more details and clarification. You are right about the amount of teams I have and if I look at the active teams I use or take part in it are only 3 so that is why I would like to get rid of the unused/inactive ones in my list. I am in one team of a former Allplan employee and one team of a former employee of our own. Both will not respond to emails anymore because their e-mailadres will be inactive I assume (for sure for our own employee). In these cases I need the assistant of Allplan to get rid of these teams out of my list. So do you say for these teams that I send an email to support with the name of the teams where I want to be taken out of the team (and maybe delete them because they are inactive for a long time already, but that is maybe step 2)?
