Fassade: Understanding the "Line coordinates"

Schlagworte:
  • 2014

Hi!

We are working hard with facades (Fassades). We understand "Face coordinates": the enumeration of the face coordinates come from the subdivision:
- The first value is the number of the face
- The second value is the number of the fisrt subdivision
- The third value is the number of the second subdivision
- Etc...

The enumeration of the "Face coordinates" are very easy to understand, and always this enumeration have the same logical order, coordinated with the number and the kind of the subdivisions.

Now we are trying to understand the "Line coordinates". We have detect how it works some enumerations of the Lines, but we don't understand the strange variability of the enumeration of the Lines, according to the type and numbers of subdivisions (see the image attached)

Any explanation to understand it?
Thanks a lot!

Hi Xavi,

the lines (edges) get this numbering:
-> border edge : the number of the edge
-> edge resulting in subdivision: the number of the subdivion line

2 2 -> adresses all lines top of the faces in first row
2 3 -> adresses all lines right of the faces in second column

So you can easy addess mulitple edges in one direction with jokers
for example: * * 2 2

Jörg

Perfect! thanks Jörg :-D
