[Frage] Roof Covering (Dachhaut) : Several Issues

Schlagworte:

Hi all,

-----------------

Previous Notes:

The new tool "Roof covering" (Dachhaut), it's a really very powerful tool. Conceptually, the usability is equal like wall tool, we love it. But internally, it's very different how wall tool works.

- In walls, every wall has only one parent (total wall), and several childs (wall layers) -> How wall works internally, it's perfect to manage data inside Allplan, reports, IFC, and so on.

- In a roof covering, every child (roof covering layer) has a parent. There isn't only one parent for all layers: then, if a roof covering have 3 layers, there are also 3 parents -> It's a madness: adds a lot of complexity in order to manage data inside Allplan, reports, IFC....

-------------------

Detected Issues:

Issue 1 - Some modifications in "Roof Covering" dialog box, are not saved. For example, material. This issue is showed in video "Issue_1_Modification"

Issue 2 - In report or export to excel using "Export Attributes" or "Export Quantities Data", shows incorrect allplan internal IDs of the "roof coverings", and this affects parents and childs. This issue is showed in video "Issue_2_Report_ID"

I also upload a zip file that contents: a NDW and RDLC files.

Best regards.

The problem occurs only with the new export to excel! When exporting to a CSV text file at least the ID's are correct.
The parent-relationship remains mysterious nevertheless.

I could not reproduce the problems of issue 1.

Good afternoon Nemo, and thanks a lot for your help. I'm agree with you, the parent-relationship are a madness.

About my video Issue_1 of my first message, I just detected why my "Roof covering" have this issue.

Actually, in Allplan 2020-1-2, there are some issues about to use "Import Quantities Data" and excel. As I tested, in the process of "import Quantities Data", in the dialog box it shows the option "with dialog box to comparing data" (see image "conclussion.jpg" attached). If this option is not "activated", the process it seems to corrupt the data of the geometry.

I upload:
- Process_OK: A video, showing the process "Import Quantities Data" + Activatied "with dialog box to comparing data"
- Process_Fail:A video, showing the process "Import Quantities Data" + Desactivatied "with dialog box to comparing data"
- A screenshot of conclusions.

Best regards,

Hi Nemo! how do you export to CSV? :-D

Thanks!

..with the one and only export in 2019!
There is no possibility to export directly to *.xlsx, and you've got the madness with excel trying to guess the formats
(makes room-numbers with points to dates!)
So I had hope, the export to *.xlsx solve this problem, but there are other problems obvisously...

I'm agree with you, the xlsx export it's an important upgrade for Allplan. We love XLSX.

About the Issue_2 about repeated ID in the first column, I just test to export XCA and XCAX with the same bad results....

I'm trying to review rdlc file, maybe the problem is inside rdlc.. Nemo, please, would you share the rdlc file you use to export to CSV?

Thanks a lot!

PARENT(@10@)

Try also Export with "Export Quantities Data"

Maybe there ist a different behaviour to "Export Attributes"

Thanks Nemo! it's the same fórmula that I use. The issue is the same in "Export Quantities Data" and "Export Attributes"....

I'm worried about first column of my RDLC, because it generate repeated ID.. (see image 001.png)
In my RDLC, I have configured as shown in image 002.png

Is your RDLC file configured equal?

Thanks!
