I´m not so familiar with the Allplan to 3d max export because I use Cinema 4D. In Cinema 4D I can slect serveral ressource folders for textures. These path setting [folders]are used in Cinema 4D to find the right textures from Allplan during the import which are usually stored in the folder ...\Std\Design of the used Allplan project.

Maybe 3d max allows similar path setting and this will help. But by the way, if you like to try the Allplan to Cinema 4D export you will find a free Cinema 4D student version here:
