Allplan Forum: Incorrect attribute names by an incorrect translation

Hi!

Allplan have some incorrect tool names translated from Deutsch. These mistranslations adds more difficulty to implement Allplan in offices outside Germany.

For example, the attribute name "Group number" is incorrect. Must be "Segment number". This error is in other languages, like in spanish: the name "Número de grupo" is incorrect, must be "Número de segmento". (see image attached)

This is only a little sample, and allplan have a lot of incorrect translations....

The problems like that should be addressed to spanish subsidiary, so the translation is corrected (but this will probably be implemented in the next version, if reported on time).

Well, we reported some incorrect translations of the spanish version, and we think will be implemented in the next version.

But we detect other incorrect translations in the english version, and we decided to comment it in the forum.

I think the engish version is translated in Munich.

Hello Xavi

In this case the english (and spanish) term is more accurate then the german term, because what is meant here with the term "Segment" is more a group than a segment: you can assign a number to several elements, so they can be activated with 1 click (so they act like a group).

But I agree that the translation may be confusing, because you have the german word "Elementgruppe", which is translated as "element group", and you have "Segment", which is translated as "group".

Maybe we will find a better solution / translation in the future
