Some notes on installing Allplan 2019
If you want to switch from Allplan 2016/2017/2018 to Allplan 2019, you can choose between three installation options. We recommend using the second option: first-time installation and copy data from Allplan 2016/2017/2018.
1. First-time installation
This option installs Allplan 2019 to a new folder without affecting any other Allplan installation (2018 or earlier). Setup does not transfer any data or settings to the new installation.
If you want to transfer data later, you have the following options:
You can uninstall Allplan 2019 and then upgrade from Allplan 2016/2017/2018.
You can integrate the data manually (requires administrative knowledge).
2. First-time installation and copy data from version
This option installs Allplan 2019 to a new folder without affecting any other Allplan installation (2018 or earlier). You can configure Setup to automatically copy the office standard (\std), projects (\prj) and user data (\usr) from Allplan 2016/2017/2018 to the new installations folder.
This duplicates the data: You can use all projects, defaults and resources both in Allplan 2018 and in Allplan 2016/2017/2016. This way, you can test the new version without losing your 'old' Allplan version.
Bear in mind, though, that you should not mix data from different versions. Merging data later involves considerable time and effort.
2a. Continue with first-time installation and copy data from version
This option is available when you have already used the second installation option to install <Product_Version> to a computer that accesses the same data server. As a result, the data are already available.
3. Upgrade and transfer data from Allplan 2016/2017/2018
This option installs Allplan 2019 to an existing folder, converting Allplan 2016/2017/2018 to Allplan 2019 and transferring all important settings. Afterwards, you can no longer work with Allplan 2016/2017/2018.
This does nor affect earlier Allplan versions (Allplan 2015 or earlier).
Installing on a network:
- If you work in a network environment (one common central file storage folder), you must upgrade all workstations to Allplan 2019. Beforeyou start installing, make sure that all workstations can be upgraded. For technical reasons, it is not possible to mix installations of different major releases. Any related problems area not covered by service contracts.
- During the upgrade, Allplan 2016/2017/2018 must not be running on any workstation.
- When installing with Workgroup Manager, make sure all workstations are checked in before you start upgrading.
Converting the data:
Data from earlier Allplan versions need to be converted to version 2019. Allplan 2019 automatically converts the data of a project you open. Click here for instructions on how to convert all projects in a single operation:

Transferring license to a new or another computer
Question:
How can I transfer the license permanently to a new computer?
How can I temporarily transfer the license of a registered computer to a different computer?
How can I interchange the licenses of two registered computers?
Answer:
If you activated the license online by entering a Product Key, you can return the Product Key and then use it for a different computer. You can return and activate the license only if the computers have Internet access. The computer where you want to return or activate the license does not have to be online all the time. It is enough if it is online while you are returning or activating the license.
Returning a license
To return a license in online mode
- Open the 'License settings' dialog box: Services application -> Utilities -> License settings
- Write down the Product Key for the license you are returning.
- Click License activationon the left. Then click the license you want to return.
- Click Return license.
You can now activate the license on a different computer.
Activating a license
If you want to transfer the license permanently, you can activate a license while you are installing Allplan or after you have installed Allplan. By activating a license, you connect the license with the new or other computer. As a result, you can start Allplan on this computer.
If you want to transfer the license only temporarily, install Allplan as a viewer on the second computer and
activate the license later.
To activate the license during installation:
Start Setup and follow the instructions displayed.
- In the 'Installation Option' dialog box, select the 'Enter Product Key' option and click 'Next'.
- Enter your Product Key.
- Click 'Activate license'.
To activate the license after installation:
- Open the 'License settings' dialog box: Services application -> Utilities -> License settings
- Click License activationon the left.
- Enter your Product Key.
- Click Activate license.
Here comes a practical example:
If you want to use a Product Key for running Allplan on two or more computers, you must use computer A to return the license before you can use this license with computer B. To return the license, open the Services application -> Utilities -> License settings -> Return license. If this computer always uses the same Product Key, you can find this Product Key in the box below License activation. This box always displays the last Product Key entered.
If you switch between several licenses, it is a good idea to save the Product Keys used in a text file on the desktop. This way, you can copy the Product Keys quickly and easily to the license settings.
Note: When license cannot be returned due to defect
If your computer has a defect and does not start anymore, or your hard disk has crashed and you had to install a new one, we need a statutory declaration from you. You will receive this declaration after your situation has been checked by the technical support team. Please contact your local Allplan Support with a brief description of what happened.

If you want to switch from Allplan 2018/2019/2020 to Allplan 2021, you have
three basic installation options.
1. New installation
Allplan 2021 is installed in a new folder. Any existing installations of
Allplan (2020 or older) are not affected. No data and settings are transferred
to the new installation.
The following options are available for transferring data later:
Uninstall Allplan 2021 and then upgrade Allplan 2018/2019/2020.

2. New installation with data copy from version
Allplan 2021 is installed in a new folder. Any existing installations of
Allplan (2020 or older) are not affected. The office standard (\std), projects
(\prj) and user data (\usr) can be automatically copied from an existing

In this way, you can create a duplicate dataset if necessary: all projects,
standards and resources can be used in both Allplan 2021 and 2018/2019/2020.
This allows you to test the transition to the new version in real life, while
the existing Allplan installation remains fully functional.
Note, however, that this method of working should avoid parallel processing of
data in both installations, as the subsequent merging is time-consuming.
2a. Continuation of new installation with data copy from version
This option is available if a new installation with data copy has already been
performed on another computer accessing the same data server and therefore the
data has already been transferred.
3. Upgrade with data transfer from version 2018/2019/2020
Allplan 2021 is installed in an existing folder. The existing installation of
Allplan 2018/2019/2020 is converted to Allplan 2021 and all important settings
are transferred (see also Limitations for Data Transfer). Allplan
2018/2019/2020 is then no longer available.
Any existing installations older than Allplan 2018 are not affected.
Network Installations:
For network installations (shared 'central file storage folder'), only one main
release version can be used - all workstations must be brought to Allplan 2021.
Before starting the installation, make sure that all workstations have upgrade
authorization. A mixed installation of different main versions is not
technically approved. Complications that may arise are not covered by the
maintenance contracts.
During the upgrade, no workstation may be running any version 2020, 2019 or
2018.
In case of an installation with Workgroupmanager all workstations must be
checked in during the upgrade.
Data Conversion:
Data from older Allplan versions must be converted to version 2021. This
happens automatically for projects opened in Allplan 2021. For instructions on

Working with Allplan from home
Question:
How can I work from home with Allplan without a direct LAN connection to a
common file storage folder?
Answer:
1. Working from home with direct access to the central data
If you want to work together on projects, you can use Allplan Share,
Allplan’s cloud solution, to work with Allplan without a LAN connection
to the central file storage folder. This is only possible if Allplan is
installed as a standalone version on a computer without access to a central
file storage folder; otherwise, Allplan does not start. If the computer is part
of a workgroup installation, the computer must be checked out and used outside
the LAN (like a standalone workstation). Data access is via cloud services.
This is only possible if you use Allplan Share for cloud storage.
Working with Allplan Share is just as simple as working at a standalone
workstation. You and several other users can access and edit a project at the
same time.

Note:
VPN is not useful for common project storage.
Allplan exchanges many files with the data server. VPN uses advanced
encryption, which considerably slows down data transfer.
A connection via VPN is not approved for Allplan because data might get damaged
even if the connection is interrupted only briefly. In addition, working over
the internet is extremely slow if the internet connection is not fast enough
(at least 100 Mbit).
Allplan does not support a VPN connection with IPv6; Allplan detects only
IPv4.
Make sure that the VPN connection does not switch to sleep mode.
Please note that we cannot provide support for this constellation.
2. Working from home without access to the central file storage (working
locally):
2.1 Allplan with workgroup manager:
If workgroup manager is included in your license, you can check out a computer
or laptop with projects from the workgroup environment. You can then work from
home without access to the server. The projects on the computer or laptop that
is checked out are locked for the CAD users on the network. These users see the
comment you entered when you checked out the computer.

2.2 Allplan without workgroup manager:
Using the office computer
If you have neither workgroup manager nor network access, you must uninstall
Allplan and install it again by specifying the local paths. To work with a
project, you must back it up and then import it to the local installation.
Using a new (private) computer
If you want to use a new computer to work from home, you must return the
license at the office computer and then use this license to install Allplan on
the new computer.
We recommend that you do not mix data from the office computer and the private
computer. Merging data later involves considerable time and effort.

Installing and configuring the license server
Question:
I purchased the license server. How can I install and configure the license server?
Answer:
Allplan is using since version 2016 a new protection system. Licensing is based on CodeMeter by Wibu Systems AG since then. You can no longer use NemSLock Server with Allplan 2016 and higher.
Allplan requires a Product Key. Using this key, you can activate your license online. The Product Key is a unique, 26-digit character string. You can use it to activate a license for Allplan.
You can find your Product Key in Allplan Connect. Go to http://connect.allplan.com/license
Note: The license is downwards compatible til version Allplan 2016-1-4 even if a higher version is displayed.
To install the license server, download the software for the license server from Allplan Connect
or from our FTP server:

The Wibu license server is part of the CodeMeter driver, which is installed along with Allplan. If you have already installed Allplan on the license server, you do not have to install additional software. But you can also install the license server separately; you do not have to install Allplan.

Installing the license server

You can use the CodeMeter WebAdmin application to administer the license server.

Access control
By default, all users on the LAN, who have installed the CodeMeter driver, can use a license from the license server.
- Basic access control: you can enter a list of client computer names or IP addresses that are allowed to access the license server.
- Advanced access control: you can specify global access rules (for all licenses) to control access to the licenses.
License tracking
To activate license tracking, you have to set the HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\WIBU-SYSTEMS\CodeMeter\Server\CurrentVersion\LogLice nseTracking registry entry to 1 and restart CodeMeter Service.
After having activated this key, you can use CodeMeter WebAdmin to create a report showing details about the licenses used over a specific period of time. To do this, open CodeMeter WebAdmin and go to the 'Server' - 'License Tracking' page. Select the period of time and the license for which you want to generate a report. Then click 'Create report'. If you click a single bar, you will get detailed analyses per day or per hour.
CodeMeter WebAdmin saves the reports to C:\ProgramData\CodeMeter\Logs.
Installing and configuring clients
Note for Version 2016: Install at least Allplan 2016-1-4 on the clients.
The license server license will be detected automatically on the network.
Install Allplan on the clients. When you are prompted to select the license file, click Use active license . Follow the installation instructions.
- You do not need to activatethe clients.
Allplan automatically finds the license server on the local network. If you have not selected a license, Allplan automatically selects the first available license.
After having installed Allplan on the clients, you can use the 'License Settings' dialog boxto configure license selection.

Areas:
- License activation: this area is not relevant to clients taking their license from the license server.
- License selection: use this section if you get the license from a license server or if you have several licenses and you want to select the preferred license.
- Start as a viewer: click this button if you want to start Allplan as a viewer.
License selection
You can see the names of the available licenses with their seat numbers.
The 'Available' column indicates how many licenses are still available. Click the dropdown arrow to see a list of users currently working with a license.
Priority:
Select the check box in front of a license to select this license as a favorite. You can mark as many licenses as you want. Allplan will then prefer these licenses. Click to select one ore more licenses Allplan is not to use. If you do not select any license or if you have selected several favorites, Allplan will automatically use the first free license it finds.
Find license server automatically:
When you select this option, Allplan automatically detects a license server on the LAN. In some cases, such as VPN connections, Allplan may not be able to detect a server automatically. In this case, you can enter the server manually (see Additional server name).
Note: Only the Windows administrator can change this option.
Additional server name:
If 'Find license server automatically' is not active or Allplan has not automatically found a license server, you can manually enter the name or the IP address of the server. If 'Find license server automatically' is active, you can enter an additional server. After having entered the server name, click 'Update' to see the licenses of the license server. Use semicolons to separate several server names.

You can find detailed information on the license server in the License Settings help (F1 key).
Allplan communicates with the license server via TCP/IP. By default, communication is via Port 22350 unless you change the port in CodeMeter WebAdmin.
If a firewall is active on your computer, you must enable port 22350 for TCP and UDP. If the firewall filters in an application-specific manner, you have to enable the CodeMeter.exe license server service. You can find this service in the %Program Files (x86)%\CodeMeter\Runtime\bin Windows folder. Define the CodeMeter.exe service as an exception in the firewall. Some anti-virus programs also include firewall functions. If you are not sure, contact the manufacturer of the anti-virus program.

Pokud online aktivujete licenci zadáním produktového klíče, můžete produktový klíč vrátit a poté ho použít na jiném počítači. Vrácení a aktivace licence funguje pouze v případě, že počítače mají k dispozici přístup na internet. Počítač musí být online pouze po dobu vrácení/aktivace.

Jak vrátit licenci online
- Vyvolejte dialog 'Nastavit licenci' pomocí Allmenu -> Obslužné programy -> Nastavit licenci.

How to handle licenses when upgrading to Allplan 2019
Question:
What license issues do I need to consider when upgrading from Allplan 2016/2017/2018 to Allplan 2019?
Answer:
Installation options during Setups
First-time installation with copying data (default): this option copies and converts the data of the previous version to the new version. You can choose to transfer projects, too. This option does not change the previous version.
Upgrade: this option also transfers the data to the new version. However, you can no longer use the previous version after upgrading.
First-time installation: this option installs Allplan 2019 in parallel to the version you are running. However, your data will neither be transferred nor converted. You can find more information in the help. Just press F1 during Setup.
Depending on the licensing system you use, you need to consider different points.
1. Upgrade Allplan 2019 – stand-alone workstation
The license for Allplan 2019 updates automatically. Start Setup and follow the instructions displayed. When you are prompted to choose the license configuration, select Use active license. Follow the installation instructions.
Note: The licenses only update automatically when you upgrade. To install Allplan 2019 on a new computer, please read on connect.allplan.com/license within the menu item Information on Installation and Licensing the instructions Transferring license to a new computer.
You can find your Product Key in Allplan Connect as usual. Go to: connect.allplan.com/license
2. Upgrading Allplan 2019 with a license server
Start by updating your license(s) at the license server. After this, upgrade the clients. To do this, start the License Settings program on the server. Click License Activation on the left, and then click the license you want to update. Click Update License.
After updating your license(s) you can upgrade Allplan at the clients. Start Allplan Setup and follow the instructions displayed. The license server license will be detected automatically on the network. When you are prompted to choose the license configuration, select Use active license. Follow the installation instructions.
Add-on: If your license server displays a detailed version number (build ID) directly in the lower left corner of the program License Settings, it is usually compatible with the new version and does not need to be updated. You only need to update the license(s).
If you still want to update your license server, download the software for the license server from the Allplan Connect service portal. Converting all Allplan projects in a single operation
Question:

Log in as the Allplan administrator (sysadm). - Start the Services application.

After data conversion, you can set the drawing file size back to the initial value. - Start converting the data (use the computer where you have changed the drawing file size):

Finding the reason for these problems:
Check whether an offset is set in the project settings (File -> New

Solution:
- Click Tools -> Options... -> Desktop environment -> Generaland select Optimize working with large coordinates(Allplan 2009 and earlier: Tools -> Options -> Global Options -> Miscellaneous tab -> Optimize working with large coordinates). This is a user setting you must define separately for each user.
- Usually, the best solution is to move the data towards the

Activating license offline (without Internet access)
Question:
My computer does not have Internet access, but I would like to activate the license with the Product Key. What can I do?
Information:
The easiest way to activate and return Allplan licenses is to do this online. In other words, the computer has Internet access. However, you can also activate Allplan on a computer without Internet access (offline licensing). Offline licensing is particularly useful if some Allplan computers in your office do not have Internet access and do not use a license server either.
If the computer without Internet access and the computer with Internet access are neither close to each other (for example, the computer in the office hasInternet access, but the computer at home does not haveInternet access) nor connected with each other (for example, using LAN), offline activation is not very suitable, as you have to access both the computer with Internet access and the computer without Internet access.
Requirements for activating a license offline:

ID is displayed, then you still have an older license server in use. In any

Windows service for licensing is blocked by virus scanner
Question:
Suddenly, one of the following error messages pops up: "This license is no longer available", "CmActLicense runtime system is not installed!" or "NemAll_DataResource20.dll: Start Error 102". After this, Allplan does not start anymore. How can I solve this problem?
Answer:
The local Windows service, which is used by licensing, is not running correctly.
If communication with the local Wibu service is blocked, Allplan cannot find the license anymore. This is often caused by the virus scanner.
So you need to exclude the "Codemeter" folder from virus scans.
You can find this folders in the following path:
C:\Program files (X86)\Codemeter
C:\Program files\Codemeter
C:\ProgramData\CodeMeter
Then restart the service:
Start CodeMeter Control Center.
To do this, use the Windows start menu and select CodeMeter -> CodeMeter Control Center. As an alternative, open Search by clicking the Search button on the Start screen and enter Codemeter.

Installation on a new computer with data transfer from the old computer

A new computer is to replace the existing one.
How can I transfer the existing data and settings of the existing Allplan installation to the new computer?

Please note that this solution only works with stand-alone versions.
Install the same version of Allplan on the new computer and transfer the data as follows:
1st - transferring the data:
Transfer the following folders from the old computer to the new one:
Project folder (PRJ)
Office standard folder (STD) and
User folder (USR)
You can determine the path to these folders on both the new computer and the old computer as follows:
Services application -> Service -> Hotline Tools -> Showcfg: shows system variables -> OK

Allplan from version 2011
Parts of Allplan 2011 have been reprogrammed and are completely new. Allplan
uses a graphics library, which has been developed especially for CAD programs
and visualization tasks. Depending on the data type and application, the
display speed of Allplan is much higher than that of earlier versions, and
refresh operations are considerably shorter. What's more, you can create hidden
line images in real time.
This new technology is not a one-to-one implementation of the software-based
solution in the previous version. Instead, a hardware-based approach is used.
When it comes to data processing, the graphics card takes on much of the work.
The different behavior of these two technologies that may occur in some parts
is inherent. Therefore, the resulting display and refresh operations may differ
slightly from what you are used to.
General graphics card requirements for Allplan
To fully exploit hardware acceleration capabilities, you require an Open GL 2.0
and DirectX10 (chip-based) compatible graphics card with 512 MB or more memory.
Although Windows XP does not support DirectX10, Allplan only requires the
chip-based support of the graphics card to manage the graphics library. OpenGL
2.0 is used in 2D and in visualization windows. These changes employ the latest
technology in graphic display, so selecting a capable graphics card, and using
the proper drivers is essential.

Professional graphics cards versus
Consumer-Level cards
Graphic card manufacturers typically have different product lines targeted for
"gamers" and "professional users". While the hardware setup is very similar in
case of both cards, there are key differences in their firmware and driver.
"Consumer-Level cards" (such as Nvidia GeForce and AMD/ATI Radeon) are
optimized for 3D games and technologically designed for DirectX10, as speed is
more important than image quality.
Typically a 3D model in a game contains a low number of polygons with textures
applied to them, while in CAD applications polygon count is high, and the image
quality of wireframe models or shaded models is more important than navigation
speed. Also, professional cards' memory usage is optimized for using multiple
application windows, while in gaming this is not relevant.
Another key difference between the two product lines is the way they are
delivered and supported. Professional cards (such as Nvidia Quadro and AMD/ATI
FireGL/PRO) are built according to the video chip manufacturer's references,
so you can always be sure that the driver delivered by the video chip
manufacturer (such as Nvidia or AMD/ATI) fits your card.
The manufacturers of Consumer-Level cards (such as ASUS, Sapphire, Gigabyte,
PNY and so on) may diverge from the chip manufacturer's references, so their
drivers may not be compatible with the chip manufacturer's reference driver.
Also, the product life cycle and driver release cycles are much shorter in case
of gaming cards, usually 6 months up to 1 year at most and a 1-year warranty
period maximum.

Recommended graphics cards for laptops (Windows)
For reasons detailed above, we cannot recommend any specific card and driver
combination for laptops. However, there are professional graphics cards
available for high-end laptops such as NVidia FX Quadro & Quadro NVidia "M" or
AMD/ATI FireGL & FirePro "Mobility".
These graphics cards are just as good as their desktop counterparts.
Laptops with Consumer-Level cards have been tested only briefly and cannot be
recommended. We have had bad experience with on-board Intel graphics cards.
Graphics cards drivers for Apple Macintosh
Since Macs come with a default graphics card (on-board or gaming), and the
drivers are bundled with system updates, we cannot recommend a specific
card.
Graphics cards for MacOsX 10.6 (Leopard) or later and Boot Camp support Open GL
2.0 and DirectX10. Currently, there is only one series that is equipped with a
professional graphics card: Mac Pro with NVidia FX4800 for Mac.
Notes for Allplan and Macintosh:
- There is no provision for a direct installation under Macintosh.
- Access to Windows must be straight from the Boot Camp installation.
- For performance reasons, Parallels Desktop cannot be used in conjunction with Nemetschek Allplan.
We kindly ask you to understand that Nemetschek Allplan cannot provide support
for Boot Camp installations.
Installing graphics cards drivers (Windows)
Graphics cards only work properly if they have a hardware provider supplied
driver (not system built-in driver) installed correctly. It may happen that
remnants of a previous installation interfere with the current driver
installation. If you experience display issues with the drivers listed below,
please "clean-install" the driver again. "Clean-install" means removing all
previous driver files before installing a new driver. Unfortunately, a simple
uninstall may not efficiently remove all components of a driver. There are
tools that can do it, like ATI's cat uninstaller or third-party tools like driver cleaner or driver cleaner pro 1.5.
Graphics card drivers for laptops (Windows)
In most cases, graphic card drivers for laptops are supplied by the laptop
manufacturer, and graphic card provider supplied drivers will not install on
laptops. This makes it practically impossible for us to test laptop graphics
cards. If you are experiencing display issues with your laptop, and your
supplier does not offer you a driver update, you might try - at your own risk -
to tweak a desktop driver to work on your laptop. Note that this is obviously
not encouraged by your laptop supplier.

Services application -> Data Backup -> Import -> Projects.
After importing the projects, convert them by opening each project once. - Import the backups archived using the
Services application -> File -> Restore documents of any version to '...\Extern'.
The data are written to the external path.
You can now process the converted data in ProjectPilot.
2. Archived data from an older Allplan version (older than three previous versions):
- See whether you can use the approach described in step 1 to import the old projects.
- If available, it is a good idea to install an old Allplan version. Import the backups created and archived into this old version and convert the projects using the Services application. If you have imported a complete project backup, convert the data by opening each project once. When finished, repeat this process with a newer version (up to three versions later) until the data are up-to-date.

well - attention in most cases you have to reboot the server in order to take
over the settings.
- Run the *.exe file over context menu -> run as
administrator.
- If the license server installation still fails. The reason
could be NET framework. License server uses NET framework 4.6 and in newer
version 4.7. If there are components missing the setup will automatically try
to install them. This happens in the background. It will be connected to
webpage of Microsoft http://go.microsoft.com/fwl
ink/?LinkId=397708 and the missing files will be downloaded and installed.
If a proxy server is blocking this page the download cannot happen and the
license server installation fails. In these cases you will have to configure
the proxy server settings to allow the Microsoft URL. Microsoft URL has to be
trustworthy. Start installation of license server again.
Addition for license server 2017 on older sever like 2008 R2 server:
If the license server installation still fails and the setup stays at 50%,
then the reason is usually .NET framework.
Try to install the .NET version in advance from Microsoft Download.
Installation of. NET framework 4.6 requires at least Windows Server 2008 R2
with SP 1.

If the installation of the new version keeps failing, try to install a slightly
older license server.
It will works the same way with ALLPLAN 2017 but still is operating with .NET
4.5.2.

Changing logo and address for all reports
Question:
How can I change the company logo and address details for all reports?
Answer:
After having created a report, you can adjust the address and logo in the parameters. However, these settings only apply to the current report and they are not saved.
To adjust the defaults and thus to change the settings for all reports, select Tools -> Defaults -> Office Name and Addressin Allplan.
Enter the required information and select a bitmap file for the logo.
Now these defaults are used for each report you create. You can still adjust them in the report viewer after you have created the report.
Note:
If you are working in a workgroup environment, only users with administrator privileges can change these defaults.
The information you enter for the office name and address, lines 1 and 2, is displayed both in reports and in lists.
Updating cross-section catalogs (Allplan 2011 and later)
Question:
How can I update cross-section catalogs or install country-specific cross-section catalogs in Allplan 2011 and later?
Answer:
To install and save cross-section catalogs in Allplan 2011 and later, select Tools -> Defaults -> Cross-Section Catalogs. A dialog box opens. You can find a folder symbol and a disk symbol at bottom left.
To install cross-section catalogs, use the folder symbol. Another dialog opens, where you can select the cross-section catalog file you want to install. Select the file to be installed and click "Open" to confirm. This installs the corresponding cross-section catalog, which you can now use in Allplan.
To install country-specific cross-section catalogs, select the "Ing" folder, which was created when you installed Allplan. You can find it in the Allplan installation path (e.g., c:\Nemetschek\Allplan 201x\New\Ing - more information on the Allplan installation path is provided below in the "Notes" section).
This folder includes the country-specify cross-section catalog files.
To save a custom cross-section catalog, use the disk symbol. Another dialog opens, where you can select any folder to save the cross-section catalogs currently used in Allplan.
Note:
To update cross-section catalogs, you may need administrator privileges. If necessary, log on as an administrator before you start the update.
To use the cross-section catalogs for a specific project only, set the path settings for the cross-section catalogs of this project to project before you install the cross-section catalogs. In Allplan, open the "File" menu and select "Open Project..." Click the corresponding project with the right mouse button. Select "Properties". A dialog box opens. In the "Path settings" area, set the "Bar and mesh cross-section catalogs" to "Project".
To determine the path where Allplan is installed, use the Services application and select Service -> Hotline Tools-> showcfg. The Services application window shows the path of the Allplan installation folder.
The following abbreviations are used for the country-specific cross-section catalogs in the file names (a xyz qusr.txt):
